A man died in a solo vehicle collision on Highway 166 near Rockfront Ranch in Santa Barbara County early Friday morning.
At 6:56 a.m., Santa Barbara County (SBC) Fire crews responded to the scene and found a vehicle approximately 200 feet over the side of the road in the river bottom. Crews discovered one occupant, the male driver, deceased inside the vehicle, reports SBC Fire Captain Dave Zaniboni.
Santa Barbara County Search and Rescue arrived to assist with extricating the body from the vehicle and bringing it up to the roadway.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
