Here is my video of the SpaceX Rocket Launch from Vandenberg on July 10, 2022 at 6:39PM.
My video was taken in Girsh Park in Goleta. Here was the scene as the rocket came into view above the local trees and houses. Just a tiny speck above the palm trees left of center in this photo.
Here it was a few seconds later.
There was no visible exhaust trail for the first minute after launch. Then, it suddenly appeared!
Can someone explain this phenomenon?
The mission will launch 46 Starlink internet satellites.
There was fog out near Vandenberg, so we may have gotten a better view in Goleta than they got at Vandenberg. The only problem was that we were looking into the sun to view the launch. This made it impossible to see anything after the first stage shut down.
