NEXT WEEK: An emergency slope repair project on Highway154 just north of Camp Tequepis Road will result in a one-way traffic control operation next week.
This 24/7 flagging operation will begin on Mon. (7/10) at 8 am and is expected to last until Thurs. (7/13) at 4 pm.
I’m here just to complain! I’ve attempted to locate “Camp Tequepis Road” off of the 154 to NO avail. This probably won’t effect/affect me, but I’m always attempting to locate where these actions are/have taken place… I’ve been on Google and the only reference to the above quote is the “Tequepis Trail”? I’m hoping that someone with greater knowledge can give a hint as to where this is! The street view on G-maps (dated May 2023) shows a “One lane road ahead” 154 SB closer to Lakeview Dr. than Forest Rte 6N04. None of that area appears to look anywhere’s similar to the photo above. Sorry, this one’s got me stumped?
Try sending an email to CalTrans with your question. I have done this several times in the past and they were very good in getting back to me within a couple of days.
We are in District 5 and here is the email address: info-d5@dot.ca.gov
P.S. – In this case it is “affect.”
It’s left of “Take a Piss” Canyon opposite the boat ramps and prior to Cachuma Lake entrance, shows on any topo.
They’ve been working at this problem spot for months actually. At least since April. I go by it a lot. Flaggers, stops, and single lane.
I dropped a pin for you where all the sand bags were for the slip out. Coords are 34.565549,-119.938687
