Elderly Man Dies From Stab Wounds in Santa Maria

On 06/19/18 at 2240 hours Santa Maria Police Officers were dispatched to a stabbing in the 1700 block of South Thornburg. The victim, 82 year old Thomas Dutart (a resident of Santa Maria) had been stabbed. He was transported to Marian Emergency Room where he died as a result of his injuries. Detectives were called to the scene and continued the investigation.

At this time there are no identified suspects and the motive is unknown.
