Earthquake Hits Near Grapevine Early Thursday

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck near the Grapevine early Thursday morning.

At 2:51 a.m. the quake reached a 12km depth approximately north-east from Santa Barbara. 

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the 3.5 quake at 2:51 a.m. followed by a 2.8 magnitude aftershock a minute later and another 2.6 magnitude quake at 3:12 a.m.

Edhat readers in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara reported feeling an early morning jolt.
