Strange happenings off the bike path across from Gwyne Avenue out by Patterson Ave! Someone has been illegally dumping dirt on to the end of the field.
They are driving a truck/tractor down the bike path to do it. No one knows the source of the dirt but it does have PVC piping and debris in it.
Anyone who knows who is doing this should call the Sheriff’s Department.
Oh good grief!! Dumping dirt in a dirt field??? What is the world coming to!! By all means someone call 911… this is an emergency of grand proportions. (Forgive the sarcasm but this post just begged for it.)
Anon … how do you know it’s illegally dumped and done without the consent of the owner? Clearly it’s been done without the consent of the OP who may or may not be the owner in question but we don’t know from what’s been presented so far. It could be just another “citizen reporter”, or 911 caller, judging normal activity to be suspicious (for whatever reason).
From the looks in the photos it isn’t quite “filled with debris”. Only see a little bit of black plastic. Not hard to pick out a few pieces which also show up in the compost we get by the truckload. Not too likely an illegal dump.
There is also a homeless camper on bike path between Patterson and Ward drive right near bike path tent and all his stuff! Now that should be illegal!
Montecito debris continues to end up in Goleta!
NIMBY you richy rich!!!!!!!!!!
Montecito dirt is being offered to anyone who wants it for landscaping or whatever they need it for; there is an incredibly excess amount. My guess would be that the piles in these photos will soon be spread about on the property they are dumped on. Someone wants the dirt.
FLICKA – wanting dirt is one thing, having it illegally dumped on your land without your consent is quite another. It doesn’t appear that this was wanted – especially not on organic farmland if the dirt is filled with debris! I used to live by this farm and it hurts me to see people destroying it!
How do you know it wasn’t the owner of the land or farmer who dumped it?
