Santa Barbara County firefighters rescued a dog that was trapped over the cliffs of More Mesa on Tuesday afternoon.
At 1:00 p.m., crews responded to more the area and found a Border Collie mix stuck about 20 feet down towards the water.
Crews on scene set up a rope system and lowered a firefighter down towards the dog. The firefighter was able to harness the pup and both were pulled up to safety at the top of the cliff.
Captain Dave Zaniboni reports the dog was uninjured and was slightly dehydrated but overall doing ok. The owners were very happy to have their dog safe.
Meh. It’s good practice for when the unleashed humans fall off.
Leash law. 7 first responders. Feel good. Stupid owner.
