Dog of the Week: James

James is a very sweet 8 month old male “puggle” ( pug/ beagle mix) pup! Rescued from Bakersfield he and his brother Charlie were the last two in their litter. James has cherry eye in both eyes and his adopter may want to have surgery to have the cherry eye removed but our vet does not believe this would be medically necessary at this point in time. 

James  is house trained and sleeps easily through the night. He enjoys laying outside and exploring. James can be timid and takes time to warm up to new people, especially men. With time he will snuggle and be by your side with a smile. James would thrive in a home with a gentle lead dog who can teach him how to be the puppy he hasn’t had the chance to be!
