Santa Barbara County District Attorney John Savrnoch announced today that Jiram Tenorio Ramon, Ricardo Jauregui, Christopher Miranda and James Rosborough were charged in connection with the murder of Robert Gutierrez that occurred as a result of a shooting on Stearn’s Wharf on December 9, 2022.
Defendant Tenorio Ramon is charged with murder with the special circumstance of committing the murder to benefit a criminal street gang and special allegation of personal use of a firearm causing death. He is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder and criminal street gang conspiracy.
Defendants Jauregui-Moreno and Miranda are charged with murder, with special allegations of committing the murder for the benefit of a criminal street gang and principal use of a handgun, conspiracy to commit murder, and criminal street gang conspiracy. Defendant Jauregui is also charged with having been previously convicted of a violent felony, or “strike” offense.
Defendant Rosborough is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, criminal street gang conspiracy, and accessory after the fact with the special allegation of committing the crime for the benefit of a criminal street gang.
All four defendants appeared with their attorneys in Dept. 8 of the Santa Barbara Superior Court on the morning of January 23, 2023. Defendant Jaregui will appear in Dept. 8 on February 1, 2023 for appointment of counsel. Defendant Miranda will appear for a bail hearing in Dept. 8 on February 1, 2021. Defendants Tenorio Ramon and Miranda continued their arraignments to February 17, 2023.
