Detectives Arrest Suspect for Sexual Acts with a Child, Additional Victims Sought

On Thursday, March 9, 2023, detectives from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Carpinteria resident Luis Antonio Ibarra Delgadillo, aka Anthony Ibarra, for felony violations of California Penal Code Sections 288.7(a), 288.7(b), and 288(a). These violations have to do with engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 10, dating back to 2015. Ibarra Delgadillo was arrested after an extensive confidential criminal investigation without incident. He is currently being held without bail at the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office Main Jail.

Based on their investigation, detectives believe there may be additional survivors of sexual assault by Ibarra Delgadillo who have not been identified. Sheriff’s detectives coordinate closely with the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, Victim-Witness Program to ensure the needs of survivors are not overshadowed by the focus on the investigation and prosecution of the accused. Detectives arrestan a sospechoso de actos sexuales con un niño- Se buscan víctimas adicionales

El jueves 9 de marzo de 2023, detectives de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Santa Bárbara arrestaron a Luis Antonio Ibarra Delgadillo, de 37 años, residente de Carpintería, también conocido como Anthony Ibarra, por delitos graves de violación de las Secciones del Código Penal de California 288.7(a), 288.7(b), y 288(a). Estas violaciones tienen que ver con participar en actos sexuales con un niño menor de 10 años, que datan de 2015. Ibarra Delgadillo fue arrestado luego de una investigación confidencial extensa sin incidentes. Actualmente se encuentra detenido sin derecho a fianza en la Cárcel Principal de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Santa Bárbara.

Según su investigación, los detectives creen que puede haber otras víctimas adicionales de agresión sexual por parte de Ibarra Delgadillo que no han sido identificadas.
