[On Thursday] in Los Angeles, the Forum sets up for COVID Testing. Open 405 signs remind to wash your hands. LA beaches are all closed and well enforced. Volleyball nets are all down.

I wouldn’t mind going to LA if it was like this all the time .
Like the man said, “You’re not ‘in traffic,’ you are the traffic.” Too many people. I just hope all the shorebirds and other wildlife are enjoying the absence of humans—–while they can. The air sure is nice and clean.
What’s the point if everything is closed?
I agree with Sagepup 100%!
I’ve also noticed a big upturn in mask-compliance among hard-hit groups that weren’t as compliant before. Soemtimes it takes a stick not a carrot. If we woke up coughing after smoking our first pack of cigarettes or had aching knees & fatigue as soon as we reached 20# overweight, it would go a long way to making us aware in time to change our behavior early enough and easily enough, not to bring on grief to ourselves later. I can think of many had-I-but-known things like that in my own life.
All the people protesting to “Liberate” places are only contributing to the length of this virus. We’ll see second waves of it. Just watch. Stay in, stay home, wear a mask if you must go out and wash, wash, wash those hands! We can do this, people. We must.
