Hit and run suspect running from the law in Carpinteria. Sheriff’s Deputies are setting up a perimeter searching for the suspect, described as a light-skinned Hispanic adult male with a red backpack. The vehicle is apparently stolen as well.

Shortly after 9am, Deputy Cabasag tried to catch up to a vehicle that smelled of burning rubber in the 5700 block of Via Real. The vehicle sped away, crashed into several objects and cut through a construction area before driving up an embankment and landing on the Linden Overpass.
20002pc Is a non injury hit and run…
Vehicle was dumped.
Areas of perimeter Stearling and Stearling, Linden and Malibu…
Original crime committed I believe the Linden Overpass..
Sounds like the vehicle used in the crime is hot a 2009 Mercedes.
I hope they catch the crook.

Alittle more info the suspect is HMA 20-25 Years old, wearing a Black tank top aka wife beater tee shirt, also wearing a red back pack, blue jeans on or carrying a skate board he has short dark hair…
He is North on Sterling riding an orange bicycle wearing a reflective vest sounds like he picked up some new duds…
