Pavement rehabilitation begins today on Coast Village Circle to repair damage from the January 2018 debris flow. A new website provides more information about the construction work and offers the option to subscribe to project updates.
The January 2018 debris flow caused major road damage on Coast Village Circle, including significant asphalt erosion and concrete curb displacement, due to flooding and heavy equipment traffic during the emergency response. Repairs are necessary to restore the roadway to pre-disaster conditions. This year, Santa Barbara was awarded state and federal disaster assistance grants to complete this important repair work. In addition to new pavement along the entire length of Coast Village Circle, the Project will install new curb to improve drainage flow.
