CHP Searching for Semi-Truck Driver Who Damaged Property

Source: CHP Santa Barbara

On April 28, 2019, at approximately 2:00 am, a semi-truck pulling a trailer pulled down a private driveway caused substantial damage to the owner’s property on Stagecoach Road near State Route 154.

The driver fled the scene. We have identified the vehicle being a white Volvo Semi-truck with “121” near the right front headlight. The Volvo will have traffic collision damage to the right headlight assembly. The last two digits of the semi-truck license plate appears to be “11”.

If anyone has any information of the vehicle or driver, you are encouraged to contact Officer Youngblood at the Santa Barbara CHP office at (805) 967-1234.

  1. There goes his license? No problem, he may have several more under other false names. Yes, I’m being cynical, but the sad truth is that while a high proportion of the truckers on the road are awesome neighbors and coworkers, the few bad apples do tend to work under false id’s. But with a picture of the driver and the truck, at least there is a high probability of a solid recovery from insurance.

  2. So google can ID people via facial recognition from a fuzzy picture – but the CHP can’t find a truck from it’s make, model and a partial plate number? Wow….
