Celebrate the New Year at the El Encanto

El Encanto, a Belmond Hotel, oozes natural elegance and charm on all days of the year, but they are taking the feeling of escape to new heights this New Year’s Eve.

“What elevates El Encanto’s New Year’s Eve celebration into a truly magical evening unlike any other is the seamless blend of exquisite dining, live jazz enchantment, and unparalleled festive ambiance,” a representative from the hotel stated. “The crescendo of flavors and harmonies builds up to the stroke of midnight, creating an extraordinary experience to be shared with loved ones.”

Upon entering, guests will be greeted with a bubbly glass of champagne and a pianist creating musical effervescence in the lobby from 5:00 p.m. on. Guests can whet their appetites with the stunning ocean views while getting ready for a decadent five-course prix-fixe dinner specially created to ring in the new year with new dishes.

For the first bite, diners can choose from Roasted Chestnut Soup or Poached Pear. Anyone who’s had their Cream of Castroville Artichoke Soup from the regular dinner menu knows their soup skills are strong, and I can only imagine the silky holiday goodness they’ll create with this winter-y chestnut version.

For the main course, highlights include a luscious Braised Short Rib or a fresh and flavorful Branzino. An evening meant for indulgence would not be complete without dessert, and guests can choose from these delectable options which will please the eye just as much as the taste buds. Desserts include Baked Alaska elevated with a rose vanilla cake or the dramatic Chocolate “Ball Drop” which features chocolate fondant cake and creamy vanilla ice cream.

This memorable last meal of 2023 can be enjoyed from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. with the last reservation at 8:00 p.m. A live jazz quartet will keep diners swinging through dinner and beyond. This experience is $195 per person (including champagne upon arrival) and for children (6-12 years old) it is $65.

After this glorious feast, guests can keep reveling in the spirit of the New Year by enjoying the live jazz quartet playing classics from the roaring 20’s in the dazzling and spacious lobby. For those who decide to go all in and stay the night or those who just want to start the New Year with a super satisfying and festive breakfast, their Bossa Nova Brunch Buffet will be served on January 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Glasses will stay filled with champagne and ears will remain delighted with lovely tunes throughout the meal. The Bossa Nova Brunch Buffet experience is $110 and $65 for children.

I couldn’t dream up a more beautiful place to celebrate another year of living in paradise and cheers’ing to a new one.
