The most anticipated Fiesta party, Celebración de los Dignatarios also known as DIGS, took place at the Santa Barbara Zoo Thursday evening.
The all-inclusive party provided tasty food samplings from a variety of vendors. Enterprise Fish Company served up a bevy of oyster shots, Lilac Patisserie had a host of gluten-free baked goods, Mesa Salsa provided samples of their deliciously fresh local salsa, and Santo Mezcal had two varieties of colorful ceviche, just to name a few.
A full bar was serving up drinks, but tastings of wine, beer, and liquor were also available. A few of the wine vendors were Sunstone Winery, Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards, Potek, Municipal Winery, and Cebada who provided samplings. Even Grocery Outlet had a booth offering tastes of wine selling at their grocery store. Full glasses of beer were being poured from Firestone, Figueroa Mountain, Anchor Steam, and Captain Fatty’s. There were also a couple of local distilleries offering tastes of their tequila, vodka, gin, and limoncello.
With views of the ocean atop the Zoo’s garden hill, locals imbibed and danced to music from all genres played by DJ Hecktik with a supporting band.
