Los Padres National Forest officials today announced that the Cave Fire has been called out. Suppression repair on fire lines and Burned Area Emergency Response repairs have been completed. No smoke, flames or hot spots have been observed for more than 30 days.
The Cave Fire began November 25 and burned a total of 3,126 acres before being contained Dec. 19.
Los Padres National Forest officials would like to thank local fire cooperators for their support and shared commitment to protecting our communities.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
