Cave Burn Area

Flying past the Cave Fire burn area we saw some scary scenes where the fire came really close to homes. These aerial pix show the excellent work firefighters did to save homes and stop the fire from raging down into town. Even with window reflections it’s clear how close it came to Painted Cave, and how much of the watershed was scorched. I’ve pumped the color some to compensate for the glare and distinguish charred brush from the flush of green from our subsequent rains.
