Have y’all ever thought about why Toyota etc. don’t have a more secure converter when Prius’ have been a major target for many, many, many years? Why was security not worked into the vehicle design updates over the years? This problem is two-prong, first of course the criminals are the main problem, but second to that, aftermarket cats don’t perform well and most people have to purchase an expensive OEM cat for replacement. Meaning, more money in Toyota’s pocket, ah yes, it all adds up now. It’s like a new form of planned obselecence, another facet of capitalism designed to help companies and hurt consumers. Follow the money. End rant.
