Cat of the Week: India

By ASAP Cat Rescue

*Meet India!* India came to ASAP Cats in August via our friends at VCA Care animal hospital when she was found severely injured by a rubber band wrapped around her leg. It quickly became apparent that for India to make it, her leg wouldn’t, and the decision was made to amputate. After a successful surgery, India is healing beautifully and adjusting to life on three legs with one of our incredible medical foster volunteers! Way to go, India!

India’s journey, from bleak prognosis to bright future, would not have been possible without YOUR help! Contributions from our generous community, and the dedication of our amazing volunteers are what allow ASAP Cats to go the extra mile for cats like India. Consider making a donation or signing up to volunteer today at asapcats.org! Every contribution counts when little lives are on the line.

…But our work for India isn’t done yet. Now comes the most important part — finding her just the right home. This gorgeous, newly specially-abled, kitty needs a very special adopter. India can be affectionate on her own terms, but she also has plenty of catitude to go around, and she has made it clear to her current foster that she wants to be outdoors. But without four feet on the ground (and an FIV+ diagnosis), that kind of freedom isn’t safe for her or for other outdoor cats, so we’re hoping for a miracle. India’s ideal adopter would be an experienced cat owner with a safe outdoor space where India can spend time either supervised or in an enclosure. She’s already been through so much – can you help us make sure India’s next chapter is a happy one?!
