Carol Lea Konheim was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 26, 1937 and passed away in Santa Barbara on November 17, 2017. Carol attended school in Long Beach (New York). She met Alan Konheim on a blind date; they have been married for more than sixty years.
Together, they set out to learn, love and create. Carol loved studying, was an avid reader, a champion in making friends, a wonderful cook and always willing to travel.
After a first visit to California in 1961, Carol was determined to settle here. She chose Santa Barbara after a visit in August 1973; it took almost ten years to realize her dream.
Carol trained as a nurse in New York, worked in the White Plains (NY) Hospital Center, in the recovery room in the Carmel Hospital (Israel) and finally at Casa Dorinda, after arriving here in late 1982.
