Car Fire Spreads to Brush Near Los Alamos

A vehicle fire spread to nearby brush off Highway 101 at Los Alamos on Saturday afternoon.

At 1:32 p.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to the freeway’s northbound lanes just north of Los Alamos and discovered vegetation on fire near a vehicle. Crews determined the vehicle had caught on fire was spreading to nearly a half-acre.

The fire was quickly knocked down, no structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
