A Buellton structure that stored equipment was destroyed in a fire on Saturday morning.

At 8:03 a.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to a structure fire off Highway 246 in Ballard Canyon. Four engines, an ambulance, and Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location and found a 30 x 30 shop with equipment on fire.

The structure was fully involved with heavy smoke and fire. Crews initially began an aggressive attack to knock down the fire with suppression tactics and attempts to salvage or overhaul the equipment that was inside, said Captain Daniel Bertucelli.

There were no injuries and the fire is under investigation.
