Santa Barbara County fire crews have stopped the forward progress of a 24-acre brush fire south of Lompoc.
At 1:26 p.m. county fire crews responded to San Miguelito Road with Lompoc City firefighters and Los Padres National Forest firefighters with aircraft reinforcements.
The fire was estimated to have the potential to grow to 200 acres but crews stopped the forward progress at 24 acres.
Crews are expected to remain on scene overnight to reinforce containment lines. There were no structures affected and no injuries, all evacuation orders were lifted.
