Brush Fire on Ellwood Canyon Road

Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down a brush fire in the 1300 block of Ellwood Canyon Road in Goleta on Monday evening.

At 7:14 p.m., crews arrived on scene and found approximately one acre burning near an orchard in Western Goleta. Ground crews put in a hose lay around fire and knocked it down but remained on scene to mop up.

There were no threatened structures and the cause is under investigation.
