Brush Fire Contained Near San Antonio Road

Santa Barbara County firefighters contained a one-acre brush fire off Calle Real on Wednesday afternoon.

At 4:53 p.m. crews responded to the area near San Antonio Road and discovered a small grass fire burning in an open field. 

Crews were able to stop the forward progress of the fire at 5:18 p.m. The fire is estimated to be under one acre.

There were no structures threatened and the cause is under investigation.

Crews remained on scene into the early evening for mop-up.
