Brush Fire Contained East of Santa Maria

Firefighters have contained a 48-acre fire near the intersection of Highway 166 and Bull Canyon Road east of Santa Maria on Tuesday.

At 3:04 p.m., crews from CalFire and Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the area in San Luis Obispo County. 

No structures were threatened in the area. 

Full containment was declared at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The cause is under investigation.
