Santa Barbara Police have determined the decedent is a 76-year-old male. His name has yet to be released to the public.
The investigation is underway and police do not suspect foul play.

Santa Barbara Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a person who was discovered on East Beach Wednesday afternoon.
Aroung 3:15 p.m., police received a call from a paramedic in the area who was contacted by a beachgoer that discovered the body.
Santa Barbara Police have not released any information on the identity of the person citing an active investigation.
Scanner traffic at the time indicated there may have been an unmoored boat near by that could be related, but that has not been confirmed.
