Body that Washed Ashore on Ventura Beach Identified as Oak Park Man

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 4:20 PM, Ventura County Fire Department and Naval Base Ventura County Fire Department responded to Dune Beach on Pacific Coast Highway, for a deceased person who came ashore.

The unidentified male subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the situation and began the initial investigation.

Sheriff’s Major Crime Investigators and the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene for the investigation.  The male subject was later positively identified as 31-year-old Connor O’Donnell.

Investigators from the Major Crimes Bureau are seeking information related to the activities and known whereabouts of Connor O’Donnell between April 6, 2024, and April 17, 2024.

A recent photograph of Connor O’Donnell is attached for the public to reference.  The investigation into Connor O’Donnell’s death is still on going.
