Santa Barbara Police are investigating the discovery of a decomposing body in the 1500 block of Clearview Road.
Roger the Scanner Guy initially reported the investigation on Friday afternoon. A couple who moved onto the property two weeks ago noticed a smell and discovered the body after doing yard work. The residents believe the body may have come down from a very steep hillside next to the property, reports KEYT.
Police state the body was found on the other side of the property’s fence between a large ravine and shrubs.
This incident remains under investigation.
I thought it might be a medical involving an occupant of a near by residence and did not want to draw attention to a possibly empty residence for a criminal to hit.
The new homeowners thought the smell was a dead animal and also noted that it was “rented” previously which basically is them saying renters smell like dead bodies or like sh!t I guess. I didn’t feel bad for them after reading that snob comment. RIP to the deceased.
722, THAT is simply a bizarre interpretation of two different statements, at least one of which is a fact. You have no idea of the timeline, nor of so much else. Is this your normal way of analyzing situations.
Did you even see the original article or just start attacking because you have nothing better to do as usual? Funny how keyt has removed that statement from the updated story. They must have realized it was a rude thing to say just like I had noticed.
i suspect it came from atop calle cerito address – a very large property. They regularly do clearing of vegetation and chain saws may be heard all over the neighborhood from the clearing. I once called the City arborist to make sure they weren’t clearing out oak trees from up there. Nonetheless, it it extremely steep. A day laborer could have fallen out of a tree, stumbled down the hill, and his ‘co-workers’ may not have known, witnessed, or bothered to check on his subsequent absence. Poor soul, may he RIP.
About the comments concerning “rented”. It may have been a way to indicate tracking down previous residents who might have more information, including did smell anything. Assuming slights is a great way to be miserable. All of us should watch for inflating random remarks from strangers. Even family and long-time friends sometimes aren’t saying what you think you’re hearing.
Pretty sure that the “criminals” are not monitoring Edhat for tips on targets.
So, 420722, you’re commenting on what you read about elsewhere that is not even there any longer??? No wonder folks don’t know what the heck you’re talking about especially when you attack them for wondering what you are referring to. A little self awareness goes a long way.
