Guessing the fires and drought are driving wildlife into urban areas. Never seen squirrels (and so many of them!) in the neighborhood before this year.
Of course you’re right, I’ve been to Cold Springs Tavern many times. I meant to say human-habitated areas (where food is).
bears are in this area constantly, its not a”poor” bear thing. they are not being driven down into urban areas, this area isnt urban. this is the top of a mountain where they live. we are invading his/ her space. I wonder if they say the same thing “poor humans, always traveling to my backyard to eat food…… I hope someone leaves water out for them in their own habitat.”
