Santa Barbara County firefighters rescued a bat stuck in the ceiling of a Goleta grocery store on Saturday morning.
A crew from Station 12 received a call from the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network stated a bat has been stuck in the Albertson’s on Calle Real for over twenty-four hours.
Firefighters discovered the bat had its claw stuck in the ceiling and was unable to move.
The bat was safely removed from the ceiling and taken outside. It was determined to be uninjured and flew away to safety.
You KNOW that guy’s nickname will be “Batman” for the rest of his time as a fireman.
Very true. Might as well change the name on his turnout jacket.
Either that bat needed to be checked for rabies or its close contacts must be immunized.
Yay, thank you!!! Bats are great, as is batman!
