You’ll recall in previous posts we had been anxious to host a mating pair of Western Bluebirds in our nest box but, alas, after visiting a number of times, the bluebirds didn’t take possession quickly enough.

Instead, a pair of Titmice (which had also been sizing up the box) moved in and established residence.

Here is the result – three or four recently hatched babies (can’t tell exactly) waiting to face the world.
