“what are we going to do about it?”
We are going to elect the same union sponsored city council members who will again promise to do better but won’t.
Basicinfo, do you visit the park? do you walk around it, read there, or use the restrooms? I would take a long shot guess and say mostly likely not, never have and probably never will. I pay for it too, and in fact i’m walking through there every morning, afternoon and evening. I’m literally there 3 x a day. Sometimes more as its near my home and where i take my dog. So to address this, no they have not given it to the homeless. In fact, there are no homeless camps at the park itself and haven’t been for about 4 months, which is why i question that you even go there. Kids and adults still play soccer there when there is no pandemic and they are allowed to. Now you mention the park and the field. The field is owned by SBCC, not the city. The park is owned by the city. Your tax dollars do not fund the baseball field unless you are part of the Foundation for SBCC. Which you are not. Just a month prior to the pandemic last year, there were nghtly soccer games, and weekend games for the kids. But you say there hasn’t been? So all in all, i’m calling you out. You just were looking for a soap box to stand on and cry? You have all of the facts incorrect. Park and baseball field, two different places, different names and different owners. you claim they gave the park to the homeless. nope. none there sleeping. if you are referring to the tent city, that is on the park lot side that is owned by the City as the parking lot is part of the carriage museum which the city owns. You claim there are no people playing sports there now. Yeah the pandemic is responsible and as i stated, prior, it had nightly and weekly games. Maybe complain about something you know more about and somehting that is actually in your neighborhood.
