Armed Suspect Robs Carpinteria Store

At 12:17 p.m. [Wednesday], deputies responded to Casitas Plaza on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Deputies arrived minutes after the call and were told that a suspect, who was armed with a firearm had fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. Several deputies checked the surrounding area for the suspect while County Air Support searched from overhead.

This case has been forwarded to detectives who have already initiated a follow-up investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the suspect to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (805)681-4150.
