Armed Robbery at La Cumbre Plaza Macy’s

Santa Barbara Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Macy’s department store in the La Cumbre Plaza on Monday.

Three teenagers allegedly arrived at the store around 1:00 p.m. and began shoplifting.

When security approached the teens, one of them pulled out a large hunting knife before they reportedly fled on skateboards, according to John Palminteri.

The teens were last seen skating eastbound on State Street and have yet to be arrested.

Santa Barbara Police are investigating the incident.

  1. SBPD – What was the reason for the multi car response last night that took 4 cops and an ambulance going high speed along Las Positas around the hour of 10:00 PM?

    I thought this title was regarding that since they headed up state but this was a totally different time of day.

  2. Loser unsupervised kids read about all the “free” robberies throughout the state since many locales in our state started not prosecuting for those crimes and they decide to be copycats. Sadly, until our government decides to once again uphold the laws, this type of lawlessness will probably continue and get worse.
