Another ISS Lunar Transit

By Fritz Olenberger

The International Space Station transited the moon this morning (Monday) just south of Los Alamos, CA.

There are currently two Russians and three Americans on board.  This photo is a composite of 19 frame grabs from a 4K movie I took, using a 600mm lens.

The transition took less than one second.  This image is different than the lunar transit I captured back in March, because on that occasion the ISS was in shadow, whereas in this image the ISS was illuminated by the sun.
