ABC’s hit television singing competition “American Idol” is coming to Santa Barbara hosting live auditions on August 23.
Local singers are encouraged to show off their skills during this cross-country audition tour. Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, will not be present as it’s a producer round.
The auditions will be held at the Veterans’ Memorial Building at 112 W. Cabrillo Blvd.
Anyone interested in trying out for the iconic singing competition should sign up online. Those eligible to audition must be a legal U.S. resident between the ages of 15 and 28.
