Alleged Shoplifter Pulls a Knife

Code 211: Attempted armed robbery at Ralph’s Grocery Store at the corner of Chapala and Carrillo. The suspect is detained in the 900 Block of State Street. It’s a male wearing tan pants, red suspenders, and a Captain America tee shirt. He’s accused of shoplifting in a store and when being confronted he pulled a knife (Code 417pc Brandishing). Attempted robbery for pulling the blade, last seen from the scene of the crime eastbound on Carrillo running Southbound on State detained in the 900 Block.
