Alleged DUI Driver Crashes Into Church Building

An alleged DUI driver crashed a vehicle into the side of Los Olivos Baptist Church early Thursday morning.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports 22-year-old Chloe Silvia of Solvang was driving northbound on Santa Barbara Ave in Los Olivos around 1:23 a.m. She was approaching Alamo Pintado Ave. when her 2008 BMW failed to stop at the intersection.
The vehicle traveled through the intersection at a high rate of speed, crossing the north road edge of Alamo Pintado Ave, before entering the church parking lot. It continued through the lot and collided with the church building, reports CHP.
Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the collision and Silvia was arrested. She sustained minor laceration injuries and caused damage to the church’s property.
