An abandoned panga boat was discovered on Tajiguas Beach at around 8:55 a.m. this morning. Personnel from the Sheriff’s Office and State Parks responded to the scene. The approximately 35-foot drug smuggling boat was equipped with two motors and there were several fuel cannisters found discarded in the kelp nearby. Investigators searched the area and were not able to locate any suspects or drugs.
Homeland Security Investigations took possession of the boat and will conduct further investigation.
Maybe someone tried to smuggle in a private tutor so their kids’ brains don’t turn to jello now that school is “online.”
I guess you’d prefer their lungs to turn to jello instead
arent we using “online” right now? uhhh ohhhh
Does anyone thing the drugs are the least of their worries. How many illegals were on the boat? What will they do to survive, where will they go?
People are what is being transported nowadays. The wall as it is, must be having an impact.Over my lifetime of surfing that part of the coast,I would say that this is at least #10 panga boat on that stretch of coast. In the winter you can see the other boat motors and small pieces of boat that still pollute the beach. When in High school we came across a bunch of bales of weed on that beach.
Probably intended for rendezvous off Hollister ranch that went wrong, but that is a whole story on its own.
MIDAIR – I prefer the governor allows the districts to use a little creativity and do whatever it takes to have kids in class in the fall. Outdoor classes, masks in class, distancing, strict policies, etc etc…. don’t be lazy and just shut it all down.
