Approximately 50 barrels of light crude oil spilled in Orcutt on Thursday.
The spill took place in the 7000 block of Graciosa Road in a riparian area, reports Santa Barbara County Fire Captain Daniel Bertucelli.
The oil pipe was clamped and no further oil spilled.
A Santa Barbara County Fire Department oil and gas representative and a California Department of Fish and Wildlife: Office of Spill Prevention and Response representative were on scene.
A supervised cleanup took place on Thursday.
OHhhh. Where are all the Republican oil proponents that are bickering on the Salud Carbajal article now? No comments? Crickets…..?
Just a thimble full. Easily cleaned up.
That’s about a 2100 gallon thimble. Just pour it out in your living room.
And the name of the oil company responsible……?
. . . and for those that do not know, “riparian” = creek channel. Even if it’s a minor creek channel. So, the oil company responsible is ?
Just bring me the 50 barrels , as a gift.
