4 Acre Brush Fire on Cat Canyon

Santa Barbara County Fire crews contained a 4-acre brush fire off Cat Canyon Road, just north of Los Alamos, on Thursday morning.

At 8:04 a.m., three engines, one dozer, a hand crew, and a battalion chief responded to 6745 Cat Canyon Road to a report of a vegetation fire.

Crews discovered three separate spots burning under power lines. They stopped the forward progress of the fire and full containment is expected within thirty minutes, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

No structures were threatened and there are no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
