The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department reports 187 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths in the past three days.
On Saturday there were 84 new cases and two deaths. The individuals were 30-49 and over 70 years of age. Both individuals had underlying health conditions. No deaths were associated with an outbreak at a congregate-care site. The individuals resided in the city of Santa Barbara and the City of Santa Maria.
There were 70 cases reported on Sunday and 33 new cases with two additional deaths reported on Monday. Both individuals were over 70 years of age with underlying health conditions. One death was associated with an outbreak at a congregate-care site. The individuals resided in the City of Santa Barbara and the Community of Orcutt.
There have been 413 deaths.
Currently, there are 346 active cases within Santa Barbara County. Of those, 59 are hospitalized with 17 in the ICU.
