Undergraduate vocalist Megan Ashley (soprano) will present a virtual senior Bachelor of Music recital with pianist Zhongxi Lin on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 6 pm PDT as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music’s YouTube channel. The program will include works by Alessandro Scarlatti, Ernest Chausson, Clara Schumann, and Henry Purcell (realized by Benjamin Britten). Undergraduate composer William Stout will present a senior Bachelor of Music recital with pianist William Geiler on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 4 pm PDT as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music's YouTube channel. The program will include original compositions by Stout, including Bachelor Jam, Vignette, Three Short Pieces for Solo Piano, Excursions, Eye of the Storm, Two Etudes for Electric Bass, Tribulation, and Sol/Luna. Stout is a student of UC Santa Barbara Lecturer Dr. Andrew Tholl.
