La LoCA Milonga closes the 2022 season with an epic milonga and tango concert with Tanghetto live. This is 21st century tango. Tanghetto was born in 2002 as a bold proposal to modernize tango with new sounds and technologies.The result is a platform to deliver a fresh take on tango to both the traditional dancers and the concert hall audiences. Nominations and awards for prestigious Latin Grammy and Premio Gardel awards followed. Tanghetto plays for full houses everywhere in the world, and has become the electro tango band with the greatest international relevance.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1649 and Pierre Claeyssens Veterans Foundation are pleased to announce they are once again hosting the Santa Barbara community Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Barbara Cemetery, 901 Channel Drive.
The City of Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation Department will host a community event to provide an update on the Ortega Park Renewal Project and the evolution of the park’s design over the past year. The Department will also use the event to gather any final public input to refine and finalize the design before drafting construction drawings for the future park.
