The Department of Music will present a Corwin Series Lecture featuring composer Dr. Kee Yong Chong on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 6 pm PDT via Zoom. Dr. Chong will discuss his work and influences in a lecture titled “Multi-Layered Ethnic and Cultural Influences in my Musical Compositions."

Graduate pianists Lucía Álvarez Núñez and Alvise Pascucci will present a joint Doctor of Musical Arts recital on Friday, May 14, 2021 at 6 pm PDT as a YouTube Premiere via the Department of Music’s YouTube channel. The program will include works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Schumann, and Igor Stravinsky. Núñez and Pascucci are both students of UC Santa Barbara Professor Paul Berkowitz.
