On SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10 AT 3 PM, the Santa Barbara Music Club will present a FREE concert at the Faulkner Gallery in the downtown Santa Barbara Public Library, 40 E. Anapamu Street.
This concert, presented in partnership with the Santa Barbara Public Library, features works for woodwinds, strings and piano by Samuel Barber, Ian Clarke, Albert Franz Doppler, Camille Saint-Saëns, Paul Valjean, and Ellen Taffe Zwilich.

The Mac Talley Trip known as “The Trip”, formed in 2010 and has played all across the tri-county area, including at SoHo, Cold Spring Tavern, and over a dozen times at Carr Winery in both Santa Barbara and San Ynez. The Trip has recorded three CDs, and combine Talley originals in their performances with covers by Wilco, David Bowie, Van Morrison, and Smashing Pumpkins. They play acoustic and electric sets.

UCSB’s award-winning Opera Theatre program will present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s beloved opera buffa, Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro), on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall on the UCSB campus. Opera Santa Barbara’s General and Artistic Director, Kostis Protopapas, will conduct the production, with Isabel Bayrakdarian (UCSB Assistant Professor of Voice) serving as Stage Director and Benjamin Brecher (UCSB Professor of Voice) serving as Music Director and Producer. The opera will feature many of the program’s top graduate students, including Tyler Reece as Count Almaviva, Julie Davies as Countess Almaviva, Naomi Merer as Susanna, Byron Mayes as Figaro, and Kelly Newberry as Cherubino.
Colors of Love is a Valentine Dance Show featuring professional dancers and singers, together they blend their unique talents into powerful expression of different colors of human experience. As our community continues to heal from the effects of the devastating Thomas Fire and Flood, Hospice of Santa Barbara is committed to coming alongside individuals and families who may be grieving during this difficult time.
Hospice of Santa Barbara is offering four new support groups, including a Carpinteria Thomas Disaster support group to assist children, teens, and adults that live beyond Santa Barbara.
Please note: Each group is guided by a professional counselor and is free of charge, however attendees must pre-register in advance.
