Juggling Workshops and Vaudeville Show - Benefit for STESA (formerly known as The Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center)

Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with your mother, daughter or a friend by learning how the right nutrition and exercise can help keep your bones strong and healthy. This special workshop will include a Buff Bones® workout followed by a bone fortifying lunch.

DV8 Cellars will be pairing 3 delicious mini cupcakes from Sugar Cat Studio, winner of Food Networks Cupcake Wars, with Rhone varietal wines.

Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate in this hands-on workshop with SBMA Teaching Artists in the Museum’s Family Resource Center. On the second Sunday of each month participants explore a different medium, including clay, metal, ink, wood, photography, and paper. All projects are inspired by works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection or special exhibitions. Participants also receive free passes for entrance to the museum.

Museum Teaching Artists are available to assist you in creating a "kabuki" stage-set illustration, inspired by works in “The Loyal League: Images from Japan’s Enduring Tale of Samurai Honor and Revenge,” now on view at SBMA. Design and color kimono costumes and a stage, considering the seasons and time of day. Free!
