Holiday Memories

An eclectic collection of original first person true stories of holiday memories performed by their authors. The performances range from scripted readings to storytelling. Stories of love, family, loss and adventure, lots of adventures, your Santa Barbara neighbors have some wonderful stories to share! Join the performers after the show for complimentary cookies and milk—because every good story should be toasted with cookies and milk!

Fall Dance Concert

This year’s Fall Dance Concert celebrates our newest faculty members Monique Meunier and Brandon Whited. Ms. Meunier, former principal dancer with New York City Ballet, brings together her eclectic background in classical ballet and contemporary dance in a new work performed by our students. Also on the program are dances by Valerie Huston and Nancy Colahan alongside student BFA choreographer Kelly O’Connor. Mr. Whited, formerly a dancer with the internationally renowned dance company Shen Wei Dance Arts will re-stage one of Shen Wei’s iconic works, RE-III, to close the concert.

Arlington Plaza invites the community to its 2nd Annual Christmas Market, taking place on Thursday, December 6 and Friday, December 7, from 4-9pm!

Ventura County Ballet Presents 20th Anniversary of “The Nutcracker”

Ventura County Ballet Company, Ventura County’s premiere regional ballet return for its 20th year to perform Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard on December 1st and 2nd at 2 PM and the following weekend at the
Ventura College Performing Arts Center, 4700 Loma Vista on December 7th at 7 PM, December 8th at 2 PM & 7 PM and December 9th at 2 PM.
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, there will be new scenic backdrops hand painted by internationally recognized Russian artist Yuri Samodorov.
This classic holiday production is a must see for all ballet lovers. Each performance will be accompanied by the 52-piece Ventura College Symphony Orchestra lead by Maestro Robert Lawson.
This can’t-miss holiday event will capture the imagination of the audience with its delightful story, graceful choreography and elegant costumes and sets.

UCSB Gospel Choir

Directed by Victor Bell, the UCSB Gospel Choir will present traditional and contemporary songs drawn from African American religious traditions on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 7:30 pm in Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall.
